New partnership with Troman

Troman offers a GovTech software suite to manage publicly elected officials in Sweden’s Municipalities and Regions. We have been in discussions with Robert Spethz and Fredrik Heidgert, the previous owners and management team, during the last year and have been impressed by both them and the company since our first meetings with them.

There are many similarities between Troman and several of the companies in the Marathon Group and we were convinced early on that a partnership would be a good thing for the both of us.

Troman is today the most complete and used software to manage publicly elected officials in Sweden. We want to support Troman in further product development and innovation to expand from this strong position.

Providing smart software to Sweden’s politicians, thereby increasing the attractiveness of being a politician, is a way to create a better society. Helping the municipalities and regions save time in managing the elected officials is a way to free up resources for them. We at Marathon are excited to work with public sector end users and see this as a core area in our long-term strategy.

Together with a vision and culture that align with us at Marathon, we are happy that both Robert and Fredrik will remain as owners and will continue to run the company. We look forward to working together and continuing their work!
